Salmon Stories app for iPhone and iPad

Salmon Stories is a fun interactive game that teaches children about the life-cycle of the salmon with artwork created by the young people themselves. Recommended for players aged 6 upwards.

You’ve got ten chances to see if you can get a salmon up the River Taff to spawn. There are obstacles along the way and tricky questions telling the story of the salmon and the river.

The app was developed working with young people in communities in Merthyr, and Senghenydd in South Wales and is designed to be used in a classroom, or home setting.

It takes approximately 10 minutes to play through the app which can be used as an educational tool by teachers and parents to introduce to children the bio-diversity of a river and the wildlife that relies on it.

The app was developed by Gritty Games and funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Caerphilly Arts Development.
